Vivre à Lorraine

I completed the online survey as soon as they announced it. Now they are doing a telephone survey....hmmmmm...it tells me they're not happy with the resultts. Good....and for sure I'll be respomding to the telephone one. That the city allowed that monster of a condo budding to be built is very telling....anything for a buck. Sad as I really thought the city cared about the greenspace when they asked us to buy the forest...but now it makes me wonder. They've done nothing to develop trails etc...a study was done but that's about it. It ended there. If the mayor thinks that the ugly condo building fits in perfect harmony as the domaine Garth, then her interests are clearly not in line with the citizens. Instead of a 2nd survey they should either abandon their project and develop the center as was originally intended OR hold a referendum as has already been mentioned on this forum. I also wonder...if the online survey showed positive results for the project, would the city have asked for a telephone survey to make sure that the results were real? Don't think so....we would have already started seeing construction crews demolishing the greenspace. Politics is filled with hypocrisy...and I know question our own city hall big time.
